Whoah, there! I am not a guru. I'm not even religious. Wait, what does guru actually mean? :goes to wikipedia: "one who is regarded as having great knowledge, wisdom, and authority in a certain area". Oh, so that's what guru means. Wow, that's quite the compliment, DrGreen. Thank you, though I doubt I deserve such high accolades!

@argeni Glad you like the post!
To answer your question: enters and spacing are an invaluable part of legible text. Breaking up long blocks of text is crucial to ensure ease of skimming on the user's part. It's also a lot more pleasing to the eye than just 200+ lines of continuous text.

A lot of fonts have some sort of meaning attached to them which you can break up into keywords as it were, sure. The 6 that I featured in this post are the ones that are guaranteed to be web safe.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I find it very usefull. Whats your point on using enter/spacing?
Do you have more keywords for different fonts, like the last list of 6 fonts you wrote?

@flashfs:
Had I written the tutorial in terms of real life examples it would have been either incomplete or as long as a book. Plus, that approach would set beginners back because you wouldn't, or it would be difficult to extrapolate the abstract notions explained in the tutorial.
I'll try to take your advice, though, for future tutorials. Thank you for your comment!

Thanks for the tutorial. You could have wrote some real-life examples of what to do and what not to do along with your explanation, for beginners like me.

Choosing the right font faces - The right type for the job...

How do you choose the right font type for your web project? Some time ago I realized this shouldn't and, oddly enough, isn't such a big issue.

Thanks for the comments guys. Glad you liked it. I know there was more to be said but this one's aimed at beginners mostly so it probably would've been a bad idea to extend it more.
